Chocolate shops all brill and took advantage discounts. Loved them all especially Prestat and Paul one. East India fab at end too. Definitely buying xmas bits in there! Thanks so much for a fab time and being so chirpy considering rainy weather...

Both me and my boyfriend love chocolates. We have been to a few chocolate shows in London so this tour looked like a great fun to us. We did the tour in the group of 17 on Saturday, 21 May 2016. Our guide, Lisa was very patient, lovely and very knowledgeable. Lisa told us a lot of interesting facts about history and owners of the shops we visited. Some of the shop were well hidden in quite streets and we would not have known about them if it was not for the tour. In each shop we tried at least two samples and with 10% discount we bought nice presents for family members and some chocolates, teas and biscuits for ourselves. I highly recommend this tour for all chocolate lovers.

Brilliant experience. I booked this as a birthday surprise for my chocolate obsessed husband. Lots of interesting facts and stories were told by our guide Alan who was very witty and made sure everyone had a fun experience. Also tasting some of the best chocolates (no shortages) made the whole day so enjoyable.

It was a very useful tour. Loved each one of the shops and all the free chocolates! Alan was a lovely guide and very knowledgeable, which made our tour more exciting...

Wild weather but tour went ahead. It would have been easy to get separated from your group as did 2 of our members. Tour went to a variety of 'shops' where we had some samples. The chocolates /cakes were delicious. There was not that much information on each establishment but the girl did her best . I was disappointed that the group had 21 people where it was advertised that the maximum would be 20 . This was especially irritating as they had cancelled our booking citing numbers as the reason twice. We didnt go to lickety splits which they advertised as the best with no reason given. Costly for what it was but on the whole enjoyable.

An afternoon of chocolate... heavenly!
By Nicola F on February 18, 2016
We had a lovely sunny day for our tour of Soho and Mayfair's best chocolatiers - our guide Lisa was bubbly and fun and knowledgeable and managed the (quite large - 14 or so) group well. No pressure to buy in any of the establishments, but usually a 10% discount if you did buy. Lots of interesting history accompanying the actual tastings (each place let you taste a selection of their goodies). 2 1/2 hours passed quickly but we saw a lot and were not rushed at all. This has quite possibly cured me of what Lisa called 'confectionary' chocolate, in favour of the real thing!!
Delicious!
By Ruby_Gamgee-Took on February 18, 2016
I took my friend on the chocolate tour for her birthday and we were not disappointed. Our guide was Lisa. She was lovely and made sure she spoke to everyone in the group and really tried to get an idea of what everyone was looking for on the tour. We had plenty of free samples (in fact, some of the group had to have doggy bags for later) and received 10% discount in most of the places we stopped.
It was a really fun afternoon and nice to do something different!
A great way to discover more of London
By Nick P on February 18, 2016
We were very lucky to have such an excellent guide as Lisa for our tour on Sunday (the 12th of April). It was a gloriously sunny day and only made better by the fact we were a small tour group of six meaning we were not rushed through any of the stores and had plenty of time to try chocolates, buy extra goodies and pepper Lisa with questions about chocolate and the history of the shops and area.

It was a great way to while away a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon and I have several more chocolates I need to go back and try!

My partner and I went on this tour in April 2015 and had a fantastic time. On arrival at the Algerian Coffee Shop we were greeted at the meeting time by our Lisa who was enthusiastic, cheerful and seemed genuinely pleased to see everyone. The tour was of a good length and despite it being exceptionally busy owing to other events taking place in London she kept us all together and engaged. The tour visited some very interesting places that otherwise you might overlook, although I would suggest taking a bottle of water with you if you're a little sensitive to sugar as there are lots of free samples of chocolate throughout.

Overall I would recommend this to anybody who is interested in high quality chocolate and likes a pleasant walk around London.

We were greeted by our guide Lisa who was very friendly and enthusiastic. She took a group of us around to some posh choc shops, there were lots of free samples to taste. On the walk Lisa pointed out things of interest to us and told us some of it's history. There is quite a bit of walking to do but not too far in between "choc stops". You get 10% off the price of any sweets you buy and be advised to take a bottle of water with you. It was a great tour and I would recommend it highly.

Did this Saturday 18th April. Excellent tour guide, Lisa, who struck a lovely balance across a diverse group of people. Visited 7 establishments, samples at all and no heavy pressure to buy, which had been one of our concerns beforehand - although we did manage to force ourselves to buy some goodies!
Perhaps could have been a little more information, but Lisa did say just ask if more was wanted. Website could do with updating, but overall very good value for money. Highly recommended.

I went on 30th May 2015. I really enjoyed this chocolate tour around central London. Our guide Lisa was really friendly and knowledgable and seemed genuinely interested in what she was talking about. You get lots of really delicious samples of expensive chocolates you may not normally buy, plus 10% off in most of the shops if you do want to buy anything. I really liked the fact that there was no pressure to buy anything whatsoever. Would definitely recommend!

An excellent afternoon on the chocolate tour with our guide Lisa! The various shops, boutiques and cafes are well-chosen and varied and the chocolates are unfailingly delicious, even the marmite truffle (which I hasten to add I chose from a large selection - it wasn't compulsory!) We went on a Sunday midday tour which I recommend as the streets and shops were much quieter than later in the afternoon, and our group was small. The distance between the stops was never too far and the pace was gentle so everyone could keep together.

Yesterday my friend and I had the pleasure of going on the chocolate walking tour in the sunshine of London. It lasted 2 hours and included visits to 6 different places including chocolatiers, coffee shops and Fortnum and Masons. We were given at least 1 chocolate sample at each shop and were sometimes allowed to choose a second - all delicious! Each place gave a 10% discount although there was no pressure at all to purchase anything. Alan, our tour guide, was lovely. Very friendly and funny, and gave an interesting mix of chat about the places visited and the London landmarks that we passed. It was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon and would definitely go again.

Yesterday my friend and I went on the 12pm walking tour in London with a fabulous host called Melissa. We were running late after getting lost and Melissa made us feel at ease (my friend and I were worrying that we wouldn't be allowed on the tour because of our lateness but no worries, luckily we hadn't missed much). I had bought this experience for my friend as a birthday present. It was very hot yesterday but Melissa was very cool, calm and collected. She possessed great knowledge and was a wonderful host. We visited about 7 shops, at each place we tasted divine chocolates. Suffice to say my friend and I didn't eat again until late evening as we were full. It was a great experience, thanks Melissa x

The tour started under pouring rain but our friendly and passionate guide, Liza, made it warm and fun since the very first moment. And she will tell you all about it :)
Our group of 7 (locals and tourists) gelled very well and all venues, staff and offers are definitely worth more than one visit. I had the best hot Aztec chocolate ever!
A must-do for addicted, thanks guys for the jolly good time.

Surprise chocolate tour
By sueroedel on December 12, 2015
I bought this tour as part of a birthday present for my chocolate loving partner. He had no idea what we were doing or where we were going until we actually arrived at The Algerian coffee shop where he thought we were stopping for a coffee.
Alan was our enthusiastic guide and he was knowledgeable and interesting not just about chocolate but about an array of extra bits of information including how to spot a brothel, Royal family members' favourite chocolate, how much it would cost you if you broke the most expensive tea set in the East India Tea Company shop and who is the only man to be allowed to whistle or run through the Burlington Arcade.
The tour lasted about 3 hours and despite the drizzle, it was most enjoyable. We had visits to 6 different places including of course, wonderful chocolatiers, coffee shops and Fortnum and Masons. We sampled at least 1 chocolate sample at each shop and they were amazingly filling! Every stop offered a 10% discount if you chose to buy anything. Alan, our tour guide, was charming and even pointed out the buses with posters of him on an ad. I recommend this tour for its interest and different chocolate samples. Definitely good for chocolate heads and for finding our about London Trivia.

We met our guide Lisa who walked us around central London giving us information and history on some of the buildings and roads as well as all of the shops we went into. Great fun chocolate walking tour of Oxford
By Black_Velvet_Oxford on October 3, 2015
The quality of a walking tour is largely dependent on how good the guide is. Fortunately for us our guide Edd was engaging and informative, both about chocolate and about some lesser-known aspects of Oxford itself. We we re lucky in that the other people due on the tour had cancelled at short notice, so it was just us and Edd, allowing us to take the tour at our own pace - the whole tour lasted almost exactly two hours without rushing.

I also want to mention Claire at Hotel Chocolat who was extremely knowledgeable - this was where I tried 100% cocoa mass chocolate for the first time in my life.

We went on the chocolate tour, it was brilliant! Alan the tour guide was very well informed, with a great sense of humour and interacted with us all, creating a great sense of camaraderie within the (large) group. The tour was great value for money on terms of the amount of free chocolate we consumed (I was so glad I'd only had a salad for lunch!) and the variety and amount of places we visited. Plus, we got a discount in every shop if we wanted to purchase even more chocs. A true chocoholics dream day out!!

Our Guide, Siddy, was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable and we were taken to a number of high class chocolatiers and learnt of the history of chocolate. Having read other reviews we did not visit as many establishments as other tours, however, we did get a good taste of the various chocolate treats and being in a small group meant a bigger share of some goodies! We also heard some other London historical tales and trivia along the way.

Whilst an interesting and entertaining way to spend an afternoon in London, the price of the tour is quite expensive and I am glad we had a 2-4-1 deal from FCC.
